It's Finished!
After nearly eight years of research and two years of writing, my book on the Old Slave House is finished. It's titled, "Slaves, Salt, Sex & Mr. Crenshaw", which comes from a derogatory report on the site made back in the 1950s.
When you're given lemons, make lemonade. That report set back for decades the effort to preserve the house, but now the truth can come out and everyone can see what all the fuss is about.
I'll add more later as there still is a lot for me to do to get ready. The paperback version is at the printers and will be back in two weeks. The hardcover edition will go to the printers Monday or Tuesday and be out in November.
